Role
As a Data Security Coordinator, I work with the Data and Compliance team and report to the HIPAA Compliance Officer with significant collaboration with the Technical Program Manager. I ensure policies and processes are implemented to safeguard and secure data, including maintenance of Apex’s Risk Management Plan and Security Policy. I complete security assessments for partner organizations and conduct routine security policy actions.
Background and Education
I have established my professional career as an information security, financial data, and IT consultant, which built my qualifications to join Apex. I have a bachelor’s degree in law and liberal arts where my focus was on cyber laws, security, and contracts. I am eager to understand and learn up-to-date data technologies, risk assessment applications, and how to better protect data and privacy information.
