Role

I will never cease to be amazed by humanity’s connectedness. From delight to sadness, our experiences are deeply woven and realities are shared. My work with Apex represents this phenomenon. I’ve worked with partners across the education spectrum in early childhood, K-12, and higher education, as well as school health and water education. I support grant proposal development, program evaluation, and data visualization and reporting. I love the challenge of presenting data and information that is powerful – substantively and aesthetically.

Background and Education

I first came to Apex in 2010. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University and master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico. I’ve been a K-12 classroom teacher, and I am currently a professor in Teacher Education at Miami University. I am also the Executive Director of the National Network for Educational Renewal and own my own business, Born Ingenuity. I currently live in southwest Ohio with my husband, Heinrich, our sons Leo and Max, and dogs Enzo and Apollo. Outside of work, you can find the six of us making a simple walk to the park a great adventure. It has been my favorite season of life.
