Role

I am passionate about helping organizations use evaluation to learn, improve, and grow their impact. At Apex, I focus on school-based health centers (SBHCs), business development, and strategic proposals – communicating Apex’s technological and research capabilities to cultivate and expand partnerships and funding opportunities. I support data strategies, analyses, and metrics for quality improvement related to Just Health™ and Apex’s School-Based Health Center Data Hub, lead external evaluations and research, and create impactful white papers and case studies to showcase the power of data-driven insights for SBHCs and Apex products and services.

Background and Education

I started my career as a social studies and computer teacher before earning a PhD in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation at Syracuse University and launching a career leading research and evaluation for pioneering educational reform and technology organizations. My work has focused on promoting equitable access to opportunities to learn and thrive in schools and communities, including through project-based learning and evaluation capacity building with over 50 published academic papers. Outside of work I enjoy being a Shintaido practitioner, organizing for social and political change, and performing as a keyboardist in San Francisco Bay-area bands.
