Role

I lead communication with partners centered around quality assurance and improvement. My work with data sets includes cleaning, entry, and validation. I verify that data sets are prepared for analysis and confirm the consistency of data across tools. I also help ensure that reports are created and submitted to partners in a timely manner and in compliance with HIPAA and other federal and state laws. I’m passionate about advocating for individuals who may lack the resources or voice to advocate for themselves, while ensuring that health equity remains at the core of that advocacy.

Background and Education

I previously worked for the New Mexico Department of Health as a Health Educator in their Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, concentrating on the reduction of breast and cervical cancer burden in the state of New Mexico. I worked with diverse partners to accomplish shared goals under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and New Mexico state funded guidelines. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of New Mexico, and received my Master of Public Health degree from the University of Reno Nevada School of Public Health.
