I joined Apex as an Evaluator in August 2019. I combine my experience and training in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods with a dozen years of professional experience in the K-12, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. In my role, I enjoy making data accessible to all and actionable for leaders and decision-makers.

Background and Education

My interest in data and evaluation began as a six-year-old little league player who tracked my team’s statistics in a (very rudimentary) spreadsheet. Since that time, understanding the world around me through data of all types has been close to my heart. My professional career began on the East Coast in the college admission world before transitioning to work with low-income students as they navigated high school and the transition to college at a nonprofit in California.

Wanting to enhance my evaluation and methodological skill sets, I traveled across the country (again) to earn Masters degrees in public policy and urban planning from the University of Michigan. Returning west after graduate school, I settled in New Mexico where I have served as a program evaluator with the Legislative Education Study Committee and managed the teacher evaluation system at Albuquerque Public Schools prior to joining Apex.

In my free time, you can find me doing anything that gets me out into the beautiful New Mexico sun, especially running, biking, and hiking. My partner and I live in Albuquerque with our energetic son and orange cat.
