I provide school-based health center subject matter expertise and technical assistance to Apex staff on coding and other clinical matters related to data collection and analysis. I’m passionate about the SBHC model and assuring that children and youth get the care they need to live long, healthy, and meaningful lives. The SBHC model is a way to increase access to high-quality comprehensive care for children and adolescents, with an emphasis on preventive care.

Background and Education

I grew up in Colorado and am currently based there. I received my medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and my master’s degree in International Public Health, with a focus on maternal and child health, from Tulane University. I am board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine and Public Health. I have been working in the SBHC field for nearly 20 years.

In my free time, I love to spend time in the beautiful Rocky Mountains bicycling, hiking, and painting.
