I leverage my communication and technical skills to promote equity in education and healthcare. As Data Strategist, I add context and clarity to data, providing quantitative expertise while keeping human perspective at the forefront. I support evaluation team projects through strategic data analysis, documentation, and data governance based on the Apex Blend, a combination of theories and methods rooted in systems thinking and equitable evaluation. I collaborate across teams to implement best practices with data in myriad project contexts, while uplifting culturally responsive methods. I uncover patterns and connections between data sources to promote Apex’s mission: evaluation that works.
Background and Education
I have always been drawn to storytelling and understanding the world around me through various lenses. I have an interdisciplinary background with degrees in English, Mathematics, and Statistics, and I enjoy using data with a human-first approach to tell previously unknown stories and connect people to resources. I have a passion for education and improving equity; I have spent my career in education analysis and research, including a two-year fellowship through the Strategic Data Project with the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. I am from Madison, WI, and I love reading, sports, and volunteering in my community.
